Fresh Growers Ltd is a co-operative formed in June 1998 by 10 farmers. That pioneered bringing back Chantenay carrots to the UK and is now the world’s leading supplier, supplying over 90% of the UK Chantenay market. Freshgro produces __% of the UK in carrots and supplies 95% of the UK Chantenay carrot market.
Freshgro has a farming base of over 20,000 acres, we grow and market both conventional and, Chantenay carrots as well as purple and white Chantenay carrots, we also produce piccolo parsnips, and Asparagus.
We have nearly 2 acres of factory space which serves all the country’s retailers and wholesale markets. We pack 100,000 bags per day using state of the art GIC packing machines. All our products are washed, polished, and quality graded with state-of-the-art optical grader and sized graded by one of our 2 wash plants, with processing capabilities of 50+ tones an hour.
We have a year-round supply of carrots both Chantenay and conventional, briefly importing from Spain during the summer, while Parsnips, coloured Chantenay and Asparagus are seasonal products.
Situated in Nottinghamshire, Freshgro is located just off the A614 with very good and easy road network connections from the A1 into Newark A17 and the M1. Therefor we can delivery to most major supermarkets and food service markets in the UK as well as France.
